Dia dhaoibh! No, those aren’t random letters – it’s “Hello” in Irish Gaelic! With St. Patrick’s Day on the horizon, there’s no better time to learn Irish phrases! Now, not all of us can travel to Ireland to celebrate. Luckily, Oklahoma has several events to get us in the holiday spirit!
Hop aboard at Meridian Landing and take a cruise down the Oklahoma River. The party begins with bagpipes, beer, and appetizers on the dock and ends with a sunset boat ride.
From 10am-2pm visit the Myriad Botanical Gardens and be entertained by the Oklahoma Scottish Pipes and Drums. Many activities will be available including finding a pot of gold, face painting, crafts, and more!
This Plaza District Bar will be open for business and serving Irish dishes and thirst-quenching beer. Unwind in the comfortable ambience and enjoy the holiday!
Also located in the Plaza District, The Pritchard will be opening at 2:00pm on the 17th to begin their festivities. Enjoy Irish food and drink specials while watching March Madness on 3 different TVs!
BRICKTOWN ST. PATRICK’S DAY BLOCK PARTY
This will be the main event occurring in Bricktown this St. Patrick’s Day – as the parade will not be running this year. Experience beer, food trucks, and live music at TapWerk’s and surprises along the canal.
This event will be occurring from 10am-2am on Friday. Enjoy live music, beer/drink specials, and food trucks from McNellie’s all the way to Blue Garten.
O’CONNELL’S IRISH PUB & GRILLE will be celebrating with Irish stouts, karaoke, and live music!
THE ABNER ALE HOUSE has over 200 brews to choose from! Celebrate outdoors on their back patio while listening to live music and sipping on Black Velvets (Guinness and cider).
Celebrate all weekend at the Blue Dome Entertainment District with pubs, local venders, and live music. McNellie’s will have a semi-truck with 30 beer taps! With Arnie’s Bar, Woody’s Corner Bar, and James E. McNellie’s Public House in attendance, you don’t want to miss this event!
KILKENNY’S IRISH PUB will be hosting live music, Irish eats, and more this St. Patrick’s Day! Their corned beef and cabbage soup are not to be missed!
Sin é an méid (That’s all)! Okay, this list isn’t every event celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this year – but it’s a good start. 🙂 How will you be celebrating? Comment below and share!
In the meantime,
