November has finally arrived! It’s amazing how fast this year has flown by. 2018 is less than two months away and we’re sitting here thinking that 2008 was two years ago. But that’s beside the point. Time really does fly by when you’re having fun, making new friends every day and placing deserving families in beautiful homes.

The month of November has a TON of fun activities to do around the Oklahoma City metro. From Bedlam 2017 to Oklahoma City Thunder games, you’ll have a hard time deciding!

Let’s see what’s happening!

Saturday, November 4: BEDLAM.

Arguably the most highly anticipated sports event in Oklahoma, Bedlam has been known to divide loved ones between orange and red. The game will be played at Boone Pickens Stadium at 3:00 pm in Stillwater. If you’re not able to make it to the big game itself, catch it on Fox Sports 1.

Until Thursday, November 30: NOT FOR SALE – Graffiti Culture in Oklahoma. 

This beautiful exhibition at the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center showcases graffiti created by some of the state’s most talented artists. The exhibit will feature 10 artists who have been an integral part of the Oklahoma graffiti scene. In addition to artists painting directly on the gallery walls, transforming the Arts Center into a vivid and exciting display.

November 3-18: 2017 AQHA World Championship Show

This beautiful show is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse Owners and exhibitors from around the world. During these two weeks, this distinguished championship show comes to Oklahoma City. From halter to reining and jumping to trail, the show is an event for those who love and appreciate the athletic ability and beauty of the American Quarter Horse. The competition is sure to be thrilling as the best riders in the world showcase their talents.

You haven’t experienced Oklahoma City until you’ve been to an OKC Thunder game! Pumped full of energy, these exclusive sports events are nothing short of amazing. Below are the dates the Thunder will be playing along with who they’ll be beating, ahem, competing against. Click here to get tickets.

Thursday, November 9-Saturday, November 11: Mistletoe Market

The prestigious market at the Cox Convention Center is a three-day shopping extravaganza. The market features unique merchandise from carefully selected vendors from Oklahoma and across the country. The Market raises funds to support the mission of the Junior League of Oklahoma City. You can shop for anything from clothing and gourmet foods to children’s items and jewelry. You really never know what you might find here!

Beginning Friday, November 10: Downtown in December

Downtown in December is a nearly two-month long celebration of the holidays presented by Devon Energy. The festivities include a tree-lighting ceremony, holiday lights, ice-skating, snow-tubing, a Santa run, a beautiful winter market, free canal rides and more! Started Tuesday, October 31 – ends Sunday, December 3: Science Museum Oklahoma

Mythical monsters, skeleton warriors and Greek gods invade Science Museum Oklahoma’s smART Space art galleries. “Ray Harryhausen – Mythical Menagerie” include prototypes, bronzes, sketches and storyboards of the fantasy films of stop-motion animation pioneer Ray Harryhausen. Entry into the exhibition is FREE with museum admission.

Beginning Friday, November 17: Midwest City’s Holiday Lights Spectacular.

Celebrate the magic of the season! Over one million lights transform Joe B. Barnes Regional Park in Midwest City into a twinkling winter wonderland. Witness over 100 dazzling displays including a majestic 118-foot Christmas tree lit with 9,000 bulbs and topped with an 8-foot star.

Beginning Saturday, November 18: Yukon’s Christmas in the Park

Christmas in the Park offers a beautiful lighted drive through three interconnecting parks. Yukon’s Chisholm Trail, Freedom Trail and city parks make up over 100 acres of Christmas cheer that include over 425 displays and five million lights. Don’t miss the 50-ft lighted Christmas tree or catch the Santa Express Train ride through this illuminated wonderland.

Saturday, November 11: 32nd Annual Fall Peace Festival

This festive holiday shopping bazaar features food, live music and tables of more than 50 social justice groups and local crafts vendors. The event will be held at the Civic Center’s Hall of Mirrors in Oklahoma City. The event starts at 10AM and lasts until 4PM. There are plenty of performances, activities, food, and fun for the whole family!

Tuesday, November 7 – Sunday, November 12: RENT at Civic Center Music Hall. 

RENT, the Tony Award-winning masterpiece, returns in this vibrant 20th anniversary touring production. With inspirational messages of love and hope, this timeless musical measures our lives with love. Get your tickets to the show here.

Beginning Wednesday, November 29: A Christmas Carol

It’s back! This spectacular Oklahoma holiday tradition returns with Lyric Theatre’s production of the Charles Dickens’ classic. Go on a magical journey with Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future!

This is a great reference list of fun activities to do with your family this fall season. Admission/tickets to everything is affordable, some even free and will create wonderful family memories.
